I'm a recovering alcoholic so I won't return to any straight up bars again, but I'd deffinitely like to go back to The Owl Bar. It's a nice spot in downtown Baltimore below a Hotel. It has a dark atmosphere with stained glass windows and owl statues. This is the longest version of the Creed I have ever seen. Since Christianity took so much from the old pagan religion I doubt that Wicca will become like it. Has it splintered, in the last 25-30 years I would say it has in the at there are some who believe that it is totally ok to be open and some who still believe in the original Ordains that dictated the secrecy and the reasons for it. so yeah, whenever i go out and decide to drink more than 2 or 3 drinks (which isn't really that often) it seems like i always end up doing shots of goldschlager with my friend. she parties all of the time, so obviously it takes more for her to get drunk. but the last time we went out it was game over for me. we tried to keep it classy so we started with about a half glass of wine, then a french martini, moved on to a margarita. no shots at this point. got to the next bar and did a shot of goldsclager. then i had a vodka tonic, and before bar close two more shots of goldschlager. mind you, i was sitting down. this is where things started to get reallllly fuzzy. coudn't walk straight, friend had to hold my hand on the way home. got home, fell bc the lights were off when i got back. bf was sleeping, woke up. this is where i blacked out i'm pretty sure. apparently he had to take care of me bc i was puking up the risotto i ate for dinner earlier. when i woke up the next day he told me i was wasted and then i was hung over until approx 7 that evening. now, why did this happen? is that really so much alcohol....or is it just because i am 5'3'' and 120 lbs? why did i get so drunk???? i didn't like it, that's all i know. i would like to go out and drink socially, not get totally wasted. so what should i do if i try to take a shot...something that won't do that again. i also don't get drunk often like i mentioned earlier. .

Stay out of it! I'm not trying to sound mean, whatever happens shouldn't have to be your fault. 'Chris' and the father are the only ones that should be telling her, they need to tell her the truth themselves. If Chris hadn't told you, you would never had known, and you wouldn't be responsible for telling her anyways. What that father did was wrong,yes, but it's a touchy matter that could cause a lot of hurt. Give careful thought before stepping into it farther. I'm sorry my opinion is kind of scattered. If it were me, I'd probably tell the mother,just so that she knows all the facts and decide what to do. But I can't reccomend that course of action mainly because it could backfire in so many ways. Just think a little longer. Make a pro and con list if it helps.

Is my friend starving herself?

I have a friend who is about 5'7 and about a month ago she started thinking she was fat. We all were at her pool and she said she didn't want to swim. I think she felt self conscious abou her weight. Then she wasn't in school for a few day and when she got back all she was eating for lunch was celery. Once she "forgot" her lunch and when I offered her some goldfish and half of my sandwich she refused. I kept asking if she was hungry and she said she would eat at home. When we were all at a party there was pizza and she said she didn't like it even though I have seen her eat it. Then two things happened in the past week that really made me worry. On Monday she was over at my house and when we went swimming I could see her ribs. Then she said she needed to work out so she used my moms treadmill for like two hours. And she kept saying that she only burned 700 calories which is a lot for me but nothing for her. She ate nothing do dinner or breakfast. The other weird thing that happened was yesterday we were at soccer camp and she said she didn't feel well. When she was walkin over to get water she fell over. But then got back up. About ten minutes late she was just running our last lap that we needed to do at the end of the day for camp and she was way ahead and she stopped and grabbed onto a bench but then fell over and did not get up for about 25 minutes. She didn't even remember what happened when she woke up. My coaches said she fainted and told her parents who didn't even seem worried. When I told them about her diet they said it wouldn't be bad is she lost a couple pounds! I can't believe this because she weighed 113 pounds when we had to get weighed for soccer camp. That was a week ago and she looks thinner now!! What should I do? Do you think this is a problem or am I over reacting? thanks for your help.

FOOD-overeating ot not eating enough?

Here's what I ate today so far. Breakfast-4 pancakes about 4 inches in diameter w/ butterlight syrup Lunch-homemade shrimp fried rice w/o shrimp Snack-peanut butter sandwhich Dinner-I plan on having lean pork and steamed veggies. And ill prolly have another snack later Does this sound like I'm overeating, or not eating enough? This is just an example of what I had today but I usually follow that same pattern, 3 small meals w/ snaks in between. There is a church called el rey Jesus in miami florida where a man named Guillermo Maldonado calls himself an Apostle and I wanted to know if this man was a real apostle or a phony. I have a 4 month old rabbit and he eats just fine, but on the 22nd I adopted a 2 year old rabbit from my local animal shelter. There's nothing wrong with her, she just won't eat pellets. I've been feeding her celery and baby carrots (mostly celery and about two baby carrots a day) because that's the only veggies we have at the moment and we have no fruit right now. I've also been giving her grass from my yard (no pesticides!) and she likes that. She'll eat pretty much anything I give her besides pellets. I've tried hand feeding her, I've tried to force a pellet into her mouth, I've showed her the food bowl multiple times, but she won't eat them no matter what I do. She eats the hay as well. I know quite a lot about rabbits, but I've never heard of a rabbit that won't eat pellets therefore I have no information as to whether or not they can thrive on just hay, veggies and fruits.

Hi, so I'm 22 years old and soon to be 23. I live a healthy life, I am in college and I cook most of my meals consisting of chicken/fish/red meat and fresh vegetables. I do not eat alot of junk foods and I never eat sweets. I try to work out 3 days a week and I do alot of daily walking during the school year. I do drink, whether it be beer, margaritas, bloody marys or whatever I feel like. I don't drink every single day but I would say I drink 2 to 3 days a week at most but sometimes I will drink 1 to 2 glasses of red wine with dinner. When I do drink I drink in between 2 and 6 drinks. The last time I was quote on quote wasted was over a month a go. I only get really really really drunk probably once or twice a month IF that. When I go on vacation and or in the summer I drink a little more because I like to try beers so some weeks I'll have 1 or 2 beers a day that's it. I'm asking if I am drinking too much or at risk for liver damage. How to keep my crickets alive longer?

I just recently (today) purchased about 48 large crickets(petsmart description), came home put them in a "bug box" that's about 11' long, 4' wide, and 4' tall. Yes, I'm picking on Christianity because it is the religion I am most familiar with. (and that's not much) I have been wondering, if there were people before Christianity, which there obviously were, what happened to the people before Christianity came about? What should I do about my eating habits?

I know exactly how you feel... but my advice to you would to be at first learn to get comfortable in your own skin. Everyone has something they don't like about themselves but try to get that list down something small and not big like your weight! Start not liking your habits like throwing the food up. Start to control yourself and say to yourself, I just ate a whole bag of popcorn by myself but I'm not gonna throw it up. Learn portion control. People take out plates and bowls and they think the dishes themselves are the tell tale sign of how much to eat so they pile it on the plate or fill the bowl up. Eating like how you have been isn't all that half bad. They recommend eating 4-6 small meals a day... like for example, an apple with PB or a toasted turkey sand which on wheat bread. Doing this will increase your metabolism. Eat the small meals but limit yourself when you splurge. It's alright to eat 4 oz's of ice cream every now and again just don't sit down with the whole tub. And one last thing, never never eat in front of the television with processed foods (i.e- chips, crackers, oreo's, chocolate chip cookies). Take out say four oreo's and eat them. I find that when you are in front of the television you get in that trance and realize you've eaten so much. You just know what your eating is good and your gonna keep eating it. And remember everything in moderation. Look up some food high in fiber and protein to help with your metabolism or if you feel lethargic (which carbs make me feel that way) get a daily vitamin with the B's in it. All the B's are great for increasing your metabolism. Hope this helps!!!!

I got relatively drunk Saturday night (4 days ago). I drank mostly margaritas (tequila) and beer. I woke up that night with diarrhea, rapid heartbeat, and nausea. The next day it was a little better, but still diarrhea and nausea. I've had these same symptoms for the past few days and it is getting slightly better each day, but definitely still going on. My stomach hurts the worst after I eat. Is this normal? Any recommendations? Thanks!

Diet for tomorrow afer splurge today?

2200 is average... Totally not splurging. Its maybe a tad over the top depending on your weight but Im sure you dont need to cut down drastically tomorrow as each day your body needs energy and if you starve it tomorrow youre just causing more trouble as your body will start to shut down beccause it thinks you are starving and it will unintentionally put more weight on your body. Just relax and eat like normal tomorrow and add in an extra 20 minute walk or something.

Just eat celery diet to lose weight?

So i am thinking about going on this diet where i just eat celery and drink water to lose some weight.. Im not too sure how long ill keep it up but i know celery has 0 calories and the amount of energy taken to eat it actually makes it "negative calories". Do you think it would work? Is my friend starving herself?

I have a friend who is about 5'7 and about a month ago she started thinking she was fat. We all were at her pool and she said she didn't want to swim. I think she felt self conscious abou her weight. The other weird thing that happened was yesterday we were at soccer camp and she said she didn't feel well. When she was walkin over to get water she fell over. But then got back up. About ten minutes late she was just running our last lap that we needed to do at the end of the day for camp and she was way ahead and she stopped and grabbed onto a bench but then fell over and did not get up for about 25 minutes. She didn't even remember what happened when she woke up. My coaches said she fainted and told her parents who didn't even seem worried. When I told them about her diet they said it wouldn't be bad is she lost a couple pounds! I can't believe this because she weighed 113 pounds when we had to get weighed for soccer camp. Needless to say I discovered that Christianity is a deception and a belief system that polutes peoples minds with dillusion. However, at the same time I also recognize that it does do a lot of good for the community and in peoples lives and it did hekp me a lot to stay out of troubke and there are Christians I do respect, love and admire and I believe people have the right to believe in what they choose to. I now prctice buddhism though I really dont consider myself a buddhist. I agree with alot of buddhist ethics and i enjoy medition. I really dont give any importance to karma or reincarnation. Buddhism teaches to show love,compssion, equanimity towards all sentient beings and I agree with that but I have an internal tension against Christianity. I seriously believe that I can be a great opponent towards the expansion of this faith but dont know if it would be worth it to make myself an enemy of this religion. Christianity has and does continue to do a lot of evil however it also continues to inspire people to do a lot of good. I honostly believe the only reason people believe in this is because of ignorance and/or emotional attachment due to some benevolant experience in their lives. I heard a sermon the other day, a preacher was saying that the claims that Jesus made are so astronomical that one is obligated to preach them or speakout against them and denounce Jesus as a liar. But I dont know if what the gospels claim that Jesus said was what Jesus actually said, part of me wants to denounce this God dillusion n another doesnt

1200 Calorie Diet Question?

I'm not gonna act like I know a lot about it. However from my basic knowledge and experience, it sounds like maybe you should eat more during the day. You don't want to eat too late at night. Maybe get some protein bars if you are having trouble getting your count down. But if you spread the food out more during the day, like breakfast, which is always important, lunch, and dinner, and then snacks between each meal. Even if you just substituted a larger snack for lunch. Because three meals can be a lot to get in one day. I know it's really difficult. That's why I suck at it. I have too much stress to be counting my own calories and trying to calculate what is gonna be what. Because I know it is stressful. But if that's what you want to do and you have the determination, that's great! And I know it can be done. Nothing about weight loss and fat burning is ever fun, but what's easy that we really want? Try looking up healthy items that contain more calories and see if you can use those to build your calories up. Because whatever you do, you don't want to eat too little. It will screw your metabolism up and you won't have the energy you should have. Hoped I helped. I know I'm no expert, just like to give my two cents and advice. Hopefully it's somewhat helpful.

My boyfriend and I went to dinner at a Honduran restaurant last night (he's Honduran, Im white). The service was THE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. The waitress kept pawing my boyfriend and kissing him, and hanging all over him, mind you my boyfriend doesnt even know her, then she completely bulldogged me and would'nt even serve me my drink (I ordered a mango margarita) he ordered a beer (she served him right away) Now girls, how would you feel if this were you? What would you do? It took her about 45 minutes to bring me my drink after he received hers. The place wasnt even crowded. Pretty amazing. Mind you, I was THE ONLY WHITE GIRL in the place, which didnt bother me, up until last night, I didnt used to be prejudice, but I just might be now. Not only that, but it took like an hour to bring me some simple chicken soup, which really wasnt very good, almost tasteless. I have to say, I was always told that hispanic woman are jealous of white women, especially when we are with they're men. I love my boyfriend more than anything, its too bad that they women like that are so insecure because of they're ethnicity, I think its very sad how they are always trying to make me jealous and trying to stress and spite me that way, very sad on theyre part. I'm sorry. If there is no one home to drive you somewhere to help him I'm pretty sure there is nothing you can do now for the time being. You could try getting some celery and/ or apple pieces and try letting him feed off of that until someone gets home to take you to a vet. I hope you and your pet survives this tragic outcome. That's only 1454 calories! On my diet I eat about 1500 a day, just not that much fat! So that's fine! If you're not on a diet you should eat another 500 calories, but try and make it salad or something healthier! Don't forget the calories in your drinks - if it's a couple of glasses of wine, or beer that'll bring you up to 2000, if it's water or diet coke, you're fine! Enjoy!

All the things you're eating are healthful choices from what I can see. For many people, several smaller meals is indeed a better choice for them than three larger ones. If you should get thrush or yeast infections, my answer is the same, only MORESO, as your diet is all carbs w/ only a little, teeny bit of fats and proteins. Additionally, should you be hypothyroid (low thyroid), soy milk and other soy products are NOT good choices as they will depress your thyroid function even more. I'm seeing a need here for more beans and more whole grains. Were it me, I'd add some avocado to the salad(s), some sprouted beans or seeds, some tofu or tempeh or seitan. I also see an unfilled niche for things like squashes and yams and pumpkin--heavy Vitamin A as Beta-carotene foods. You did well w/ the carrots, cucumbers and yellow pepper salad, and the spinach/red lettuce/celery root/turnip/diced tomatoes/sunflower seed/vegan salad dressing salads!!! Good for you!

The only reason the celery diet works is because it takes more calories to eat it than you gain. This is due to the fact that celery is almost entirely water and its stringy texture means you'll have to chew more than you might for a normal food. So this is essentially starving yourself. Try fresh fruits and working out like everyone says you should, its really the best way. No pain no gain

So I bought a bottle of Bethenney Frankel's Skinny Girl Margarita. I was so excited to find it because I have never seen it at a store before so when I found it I snatched it up and couldn't wait to try it. I brought it home and put it in the fridge and in a few hours I poured it in a glass and took a big first anticipatory sip. And....it was disgusting! Here's what I ate today so far. Breakfast-4 pancakes about 4 inches in diameter w/ butterlight syrup Lunch-homemade shrimp fried rice w/o shrimp Snack-peanut butter sandwhich Dinner-I plan on having lean pork and steamed veggies. And ill prolly have another snack later Does this sound like I'm overeating, or not eating enough? This is just an example of what I had today but I usually follow that same pattern, 3 small meals w/ snaks in between. I usually eat more veggies/fruit like celery, carrots,lettuce & spinich salads,peaches,bananas, strawberries, and watermelon for snacks. I am a SUCKER for sweets like cookies and ice cream though. I encourage my mom not to buy them, and when she does I get mad, but know I will eat them till I'm full at some point...I mostly drink water or milk. About a gal of water a day or a little less. I get about 30-60 mins of extra exercise a day (other than walking/household chores) that consists of mostly dancing around or pilates and maybe some running if I feel up to it. ok so im 15, 120 lbs, and 5'2. i have an eating dissorder. i was anerexic about a year ago, and even after recovering i started going back to wierd eating habits. well, now i have bulimia, and i hardly eat. ive had bulimia for a month but was eating alot so i didnt loose much wieght, but id say in the past 8 days, ive eaten around 1500 calories all 2gether. yet every time i eat i throw it up, it doesnt matter wat it is whether its a salad, soup, penut butter, or even celery i thow it up. so i dont know if u could say ive eaten 1500 calries or not. but ive lost wieght in matter of days becase my shorts fit looser and i was able to fit into size 1 shorts yesterday. i just cant eat, im scared too eat a full meal. i always eat half or just pick at it so my family thinks im eating something. i throw away food, the other day my bro got me a cookie and i threw it away secretly. ive stopped drinking sodas and diet drinks, i dont even drink my fav thing ever-coke zero. i stopped drinking coffee even tho im addicted to it, i switched to green tea w/ splenda. i do 2,000 jumps on a jump rope every day, 1,000 morning, 1,000 at nite. i also walk my dog on top of that in scorching summer heat. am i going to loose wieght qucikly? wats going to happen? its like i dont wanna go down this path, but i also do want too.im trying to loose the wieght in my thighs and butt mostly.

Should I go into an outpatient alcohol rehab program?

I drink two big glasses of wine a night, and sometimes more. When I go out, which is rare, I drink about four margarita's in about three to four hours. I don't feel drunk from it. But, a year ago, I drove drunk a few times. I am very stressed out at work, but I come into work each day. I'm a functioning alcoholic, I guess. I make a lot of mistakes at work and in my personal life, but so does my non alcoholic coworker. This line of work is open for error due to the extremely heavy workload, and management doesn't accept it. I've always felt I will be fired one of these days. So, if I go into rehab, it will protect my job for three months & I'll get full pay probably. But, once I get back, I'm sure they'll catch all of my mistakes and fire me. I would finally have a chance to look for a job, though, as this alcohol rehab program is only about six hours a day, five days a week. With my stressful job, I have no strength to look for another job. Should I go into an outpatient rehab program or just try AA? I've been to two AA meetings and I haven't found it enough for me. No, I can't stop drinking, and I'm bipolar, too. Thanks.

well by experience I can't tell you that alot of that food expires real quick if you only have a thermal electric cooler. But if he has a real refrigerator with freezing capacity then you can cook healthy and freeze it in cooking bags.then he can warm it up in microwave. At truck stops. A thermoelectric cooler costs about 100 dollars but a truck refrigerator cost about 350 dollars. my best advice is to eat subway sandwich 5 dollar footlongs aint that's unhealthy

How to tell a boy and a girl box turtle apart ?

I found a small turtle in my backyard and wanted to keep it as a pet. I put it in a big card-board box with mulch, a big rock, and a water and food bowl. I put water in the water bowl but didn't know what to put in the food bowl. So i thought.....I volunteer up at the local Good Zoo and i make diets all the time for the Egyption Tortiose and it eats celery, apples, carrots, etc. I made all of that and put it in the box. The next morning I went out to check on the turtle and it tipped the water bowl over and didn't eat ANY of the food.....I was really woried....soooo I kept thinking of things...I didn't know what kind of turtle it was so i typed many species of turtles in and i kept looking at the images on google and found out that it was a box turtle...so the next thing I wanted to know is if it was a male or female?.....and what it eats in the wild?
