What is a good meal routine for rats?

i am about to purchase two pet rats and i want to know what to feed them daily. i read online that the food you can buy in pet stores is high in fats and its better to feed them fresh fruit and vegetable and occationally some of the packaged stuff. i want, like a feeding routine. like for example... carrots in the morning and celery at night and packaged food in the afternoon
